The Thurston County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol is a volunteer organization of non-commissioned individuals who represent the Sheriff’s Office in a respectful and professional manner. The group promotes health, happiness and social activities relative to horsemanship.
We exist to aid the Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Paul
Counts, who supervises volunteers for the
Sheriff’s Office, provides advice and support.
Our liaison is Deputy Marlin Bryant. Because we
are involved in Search and Rescue, Thurston
County Emergency Services provides considerable
support also. Mounted Patrol offers
opportunities for families to serve the
community together doing something they enjoy
